Each year, b.j. spoke gallery holds several juried competitions. Full details about each are available from the below links.
EXPO 30: National Juried Competition
Judge: Maura Lynch, Assistant Curator of Drawings, Museum of Modern Art.
Award: Exhibition of selected works, March 2011.
Eligibility: Artists living in USA may submit up to six flat or three 3-dimensional works.
Media: All fine arts media are acceptable. No crafts. Sculpture should not exceed 8 feet in any dimension.
Deadline: Postmarked by November 8, 2010.
Fee: $35. Checks made payable to b.j.spoke gallery.
Liability: All material will be handled with the utmost care. However, b.j.spoke gallery will not be responsible for loss or damage.
Instructions:
Images are to be submitted on CD, jpeg only. File size should be between 500K and 1M. They will be viewed on a PC computer. Filenames should read: lastnamefirstname-1, lastnamefirstname-2, lastnamefirstname-3 etc. (no spaces).
CDs will not be returned. Retain your original files. Check your disk before sending. Faulty disks cannot be reviewed.
Include a 1-page printout with a thumbnail (small version) image of each item on your disk, the title, the medium or description, and the dimensions of the work. Be sure your name, address, phone number, and email address are on this page.
Please do not send any other promotional material at this time.
Mail all material to EXPO 30 at the gallery address above. Include a self-addressed stamped #10 envelope (SASE) for notification.
Artists will be responsible for shipping or bringing their works.
