Although my paintings are always inspired by environmental forms, once the work begins, the medium leads the way. The work has brilliance and excitement, suggesting new paths to follow. Its fluidity allows me to paint quickly and emotionally in an abstract, expressionistic way.
Subject matter is only the point of departure. “The medium is the message!”
Ms. Rosen’s watercolors have received many awards and she has given watercolor demonstrations. She has exhibited extensively in local and in national juried shows. Ms. Rosen is active in the National League of American Pen Women.
